Lewis River Fishing Guide

The Lewis River begins in the North Cascade Range below Mount Adams and flows through Southwest Washington before joining the Columbia. The North Fork Lewis is the primary sport-fishing branch, known for coho salmon, spring Chinook, and both summer and winter steelhead.

Fishing the Lewis means working classic Washington steelhead and salmon water — long glides, deep buckets, and tailouts that hold fish through the season. Fall coho fishing can be excellent when runs are strong, and spring Chinook draw anglers from across the region in April and May.

The Lewis has a wilder feel than some of the bigger systems. Less traffic, beautiful water, and fish that fight hard in current that keeps your guide rowing all day.
