The three-quarter day is the sweet spot for Southwest Washington river fishing. Six hours on the water means we can follow fish movement, adjust techniques as conditions change, and slow down when someone in the boat is still learning the cast or the hook-set.
Whether we are bobber fishing for winter steelhead on the Kalama, back-trolling for spring Chinook on the Cowlitz, or twitching jigs for coho in the fall, this trip length gives us the runway to fish multiple spots and dial in what is working.
Most groups leave with fish in the cooler, new skills in their pocket, and a guide they want to book again next season.
