The Naselle River flows through Pacific County's coastal hills into Willapa Bay — a different world from the Columbia tributaries to the east. Winter steelhead here are chrome-bright and aggressive, and the setting is pure Pacific Northwest rainforest.

Bobber fishing and drift gear produce fish in classic steelhead holding water. The Naselle is smaller than the Cowlitz but bigger than the Elochoman, with a mix of glides, buckets, and tailouts that hold fish through the winter season.
